Motherhood: Part One

As I’m laying here in bed with my baby sleeping on my chest and my amazing fiancé sleeping next to me, I just want to soak everything about this in. I am the luckiest girl in the world to be this little man’s momma & to get to marry his daddy.

Life has been a little crazy lately. Trying to figure out life with a newborn is a little like what I’d imagine trying to find a needle in a haystack would be like. Going anywhere is a production. “Do we have the diaper bag? Diapers? Wipes? Pacifier?” …the list goes on and on. Ratio of time when I’m awake vs time when I’m sleeping is like 10:1. It’s not easy, but every little bit is worth it for my little piglet. 🙂 now, can I get a nap? 😉

I’ll get Lucas’ birth story up here eventually, before I forget important deets due to this new mommy brain, which is much more forgetful than pregnancy brain. How come no one warned me about that?!
