Like Winter is coming. Get it? Okay, so I’m not really in to Game of Thrones, but I did watch the last episode of this season with my husband and was SUPER in to it. I feel like every other episode I watched (I skipped a whole bunch) made sense, and I actually understood the show.
Anyway, I am super excited for fall. Fall is my absolute favorite season. Cooler weather, football, pumpkin spice everything, my birthday, the acceptability to wear leggings as pants! PRAISE! I feel so thankful to start this new season with my two babies and my husband. Even though fall technically doesn’t start until September 22nd, I’m going to go ahead and get a head start. 🙂
I can’t believe that it’s already September! August flew by, and now we have a two week old. Somehow the longest and shortest two weeks of my life. Having a newborn AND a toddler is hard y’all. Like, no joke at all. Right now, we’re really just trying to find our new normal and soak up all of our little man’s newbornness (is that even a word? Basically a zombie over here, so I’ll just go with it) while also trying to keep our sanity. Any tips are much appreciated 🙂
The season of life that we’re in isn’t the easiest right now. Fourth trimester is a real thing. I plan on doing a separate post with some tips to get through it, because besides all of the amazing parts of having a newborn and bringing new life in to this world, you’re basically in survival mode. I never thought I would be planning my showers ahead of time or that going to the Starbucks drive-thru around the corner by myself for 5 minutes would give me sanity, but here I am, and both of those things have happened in the past two weeks.
We ventured out to Target the other day with BOTH kids! I felt like we could conquer the world! As soon as we walked in, I saw the dollar section was stocked with Fall & Halloween stuff. I didn’t get to check it all out but definitely plan on making my way over there soon so I can get some decorations for our house.
So, this was just a quick check-in while Logan is napping, because I really am so excited for fall and looking forward to the start of a new season. Hopefully I will start getting better organized and on some kind of schedule to get back in to a routine with blogging and just life in general. Hope everyone enjoys the last few weeks of summer! 🙂
Side note: Any Bachelor fans out there? I’m getting antsy waiting for them to announce the next Bachelor. I could talk about The Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise for hours probably. Don’t know if I should be proud of that though. 🙂 I’m really thinking they’re going to choose Peter, and hoping it won’t be Dean…or Nick again! Who do you want the next Bachelor to be?
